Sherwood Lakes is located virtually in the center of Palm Beach County. The assigned public schools are: Heritage Elementary (PK – 5) 1.7 miles away; LC Swain Middle School (6 – 8) 1.2 miles away; and Santaluces Community High School (9 – 12) 5.5 miles away. The homeowner monthly fee is currently $317.00 a month. This fee is for yearly maintenance and reserves and does not cover any utilities except for garbage and trash removal. The electric company is Florida Power & Light and the water and sewer is provided by Palm Beach County Water Utilities.

The property manager and grounds people are on-site and work directly for the Association and are not associated with any management company. The Homeowners Association (HOA) maintains the common areas, roofs and exterior of the buildings. The HOA has windstorm and hazard insurance for the exterior of the buildings only (drywall out) and not the interior (dwelling) or personal property. Sherwood Lakes Homeowners Association has an application process that includes buyer approval and a required interview.
